IMEA Regional Head of Human Capital Operations

Job Description:

Job Role:

Human Capital Operations:

·         Partnering with the global HC Operation leadership team to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of key HC operational function aligned with local needs but in context of a global framework

·         Overseeing accurate and timely administration and delivery of operational tasks, which includes but is not limited to payroll, personnel file maintenance, Employee Transactions & Workday data entry, auditing, compliance, and providing data for financial controllers. Second escalation point to help resolve any payroll and benefits related issues including relationships with external providers for the Oliver Wyman Group in IMEA

·         Ensuring HCM and HC Ops team coordination, quality upkeep and maintenance of Personal Files, HRIS Data, employment letters and documentation, employee notifications and transactions

·         Overseeing/ supporting internal and external audits including client audits.

·         Partnering with the Global Contractor Management (GCM) team to manage and execute Independent Contractor contracts/ agreements/ engagements including senior advisors.

·         Managing all approval processes for the regions in accordance with the approvals matrix and invoicing policies

·         Driving efficiencies and improvements in regional HC Operational matters from both cost and delivery perspective

·         Setting and managing regional HC Operations budget, ensuring that costs grow only in line with business growth and management guidance

Mobility:

·         Oversight of collaboration between HC Operations team and the Mobility Team for local HC support of transfers, work authorization and business visa processes

Recruiting:

·         Oversight of HC Operations involvement in the local support of entry level and experienced hire recruitment, working closely with the regional recruitment team to coordinate and deliver on a seamless process form an operational and onboarding perspective

Training:

·         Contributing to and supporting Operational aspects and impacts of Core Curriculum and Targeted Learning & Development activities at a local office, regional and Global roll-out level

·         Leading up skilling in HC Manager and HC Ops team capabilities across IMEA, targeted at technical and generalist capabilities

Engagement & Leadership:

·         Providing thought leadership on regional HC Operations needs and strategies, working with Regional Head, Director of Talent, Global Director of HC Operations, Regional COO and other relevant leaders to design approaches, and oversee the successful implementation of initiatives

·         Working with the Global Director of HC Operations to ensure alignment with global HC Operations strategy and MMC requirements

·         Point of contact for MMC on HC operations related initiatives for IMEA and, as appropriate, representing OWG on MMC committees and project teams.

·         Working closely with Market, Office, and HC Leadership to contribute to the advancement of local office culture and engagement in line with the Oliver Wyman values

·         Contributing to the IMEA HC senior team and building regional HC engagement, including the ‘Way We Work’ methodology and related programs

·         Collaborating with Global HC Operations Leadership team on global strategies and initiatives. Providing representation for IMEA market on global programs and initiatives. Supporting the development of the global HC Operations function.

·         Leading HCM & Operations regional team, supporting BAU day to day matters and tactical/strategic initiatives defined by the IMEA Management Committee

Employee Relations:

·         Creating a fair and comfortable environment based on trust and mutual respect, advising leaders and managers on all employee relation matters

·         Building credibility with all colleagues but particularly key business leaders through encouraging open dialogue and maintaining confidentiality.

·         Serving as a trusted advisor on employee relation matters to senior business leaders

·         Providing advice and counsel to all colleagues regarding employment law, policy and/or employee issues.

·         Performing and supporting employee investigations when required. Ensure enforcement of disciplinary procedures.

·         Ensuring employee termination and exit matters are handled in a professional and empathetic manner.

·         Working with HCMs to implement any legislative changes to the markets

·         Fostering relationships with external counsel and how they are deployed across the regions

·         Leading and providing guidance to employees and managers on issues relating to performance, fairness, and culture

·         Managing ER/IR risk, address cases/issues/exceptions, and leading regional policy compliance agenda

·         Collaborating with Consultant and Support Professional Talent Managers, and Market/Office leadership on disciplinary and out counsel process

·         Regional escalation/contact point for all employee relation matters

Policy:

·         Leading regional communication and support colleague awareness on global, regional, and local policy

·         Providing guidance and answer questions on policy interpretation, including exception approvals and case management

·         Ensuring HCMs are keeping to date with current and new legislation across the region working with the Legal Team as needed to ensure compliance to local labor requirements

·         Working closely with HCMs to update and amend policy & procedures in line with new and revised local legislation and directives, including being a trusted advisor to the local business for all employment related matters.

·         Ensuring uniform and equitable application of policies and procedures.

·         Collaborating with MMC/OW requirements to promote policy application and compliance

·         Ensuring regional and local data management and support for audit purposes

Job Requirements:

·         You’ll have at least 10+ years’ work experience in a Human Resources-related role (Human Capital Operations management and generalist HR background are paramount; other HR functional specialties highly considered)

·         You’ll come from professional services /management consulting or multi-national corporate firm background and be familiar with fast-paced, matrixed environments

·         A track record of leading a geographically disperse/remote team within the IMEA region is essential experience for this role

·         Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) is required, experience of Workday is highly advantageous

·         You’ll have excellent English language skills, with Arabic Language skills being a distinct advantageous

·         You will be educated to at least Bachelor’s level
